So Steven called today, he sounded SO good! We were able to talk for
about 20 min. He earned more phone time for folding his towel
perfectly so that was awesome. His T. I. made him an "element leader"
which means he is in charge of about 20 other guys, which is awesome
the only thing that's bad about that is he gets in big trouble if they
screw up. He had watched Steven get his things done ( get the bed made
etc. etc.) as well as help like 2 more guys at the same time, so he
referred him to become a leader! I'm SO SO proud! He does things like
make sure they stay quiet at night and work as a team to get there
tasks done. I knew he would be a leader in some way, he is so good
with people and a natural leader so it's great! He said he is doing
the best in his group physically (word of wisdom!) He gets to run a 5k
with other residents on base next Sat. He said he is excited to get
away from his T.I. and everyone else for the morning (even though he
does like him but it will be nice to get away from the yelling etc.)
He said his T. I. is super super intense but he just wants them to
succeed. They wake up at about 4am and eat three times a day, the food
is good but didn't seem like it at first because of his nervous
stomach. They have a total of 7 minutes to eat their meals so he said
he will eat like three plates in that amount of time! Ha ha. He
sleeps well at night now, but the first night he only slept about an
hour and the next few nights were hard also. He has made a few good
friends. He said Sundays are probably the hardest cause he sees the
families at church and he has time to think about about things and
miss us. Lincoln got to say "Hi," and talk with Steven a bit so that was
fun! I have received one letter form him so far, he barely has time to
read the letters he receives let alone write back, but he is trying.
They are only allowed to send mail out on Sundays as well. He said he
starting to feel the "brotherhood" in his group so he said that feels
really good. That's all I can really remember at the moment but it was
so so so good to talk to him!

Catching up!
So It's been over 6 months since i last updated this thing, SO much has changed! Sydnee Marie Miles was born July 28, 2011 weighing 6.9 lbs, she is so beautiful and the most happy and smiley baby ever! She is really good too, I am so blessed with two amazing beautiful children! Lincoln loves her to death and they are adorable together! Steven is now in Basic Training for the U.S. Air Force. I am so proud of him! He is making such huge sacrifices for our lil' family! He called the other day and i could tell how much he missed us he asked all about Lincoln and Sydnee and what they were up to. When he called we were at the circus, so i am SO glad i had my phone in my pocket and felt it vibrate when he called. I love him so much and miss him bad, he is my everything and my best friend. But i know that this is for the best, we will get his schooling paid for going through the Air Force and we will be well taken care of! I am so so so thankful for the gospel and the peace it brings in these tough times without eachother. I have written Steven everyday and had lincoln draw him a ton of pictures, but when he called monday he said he thinks they are withholding their mail for a few weeks which is horrible! They do so many crazy things in Basic but i know it will only make Steven stronger than he already is!
